Debbie Clayton, President & Founder Beautiful You Charity Inc. Executive Committee
Ten years ago I lost my mum to breast cancer and in the last 5 years I have finally been able to deal with others that are going through this terrible disease.
I have my business Healing Art Therapies on Buderim. I am a clinical masseuse and have been massaging for 12 years.
“Since losing my mum I really want now to be able to help others with cancer as we never know when someone close to us maybe diagnosed.”
Once a month I have a morning called “BEAUTIFUL YOU” that I have started for women that are going through cancer. These mornings are free to these ladies.
“My ultimate dream is to set up a retreat for those who are going through cancer and their families where they can come and stay and have the luxuries that so many of them cannot afford.”
A lot of these women that I am meeting are in their early 30′s with very young children, what brave and beautiful women they are. They have such a positive outlook on life. My only way of doing this is to find an angel investor that can help these women.
My work is very rewarding so to be able to set up my dream would be fantastic. The feedback from the ladies that I have met over the years that are going through cancer have said this would be fantastic.
Jenelle Reading – Chairperson Beautiful You Charity Inc. Executive Committee.
Jenelle moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2009 retiring from a long and rewarding career delivering health services in ACT Health.
Jenelle’s last position was as a Senior Executive in the role of General Manager of Community Health. Jenelle moved to the Sunshine Coast to support her daughter Renée Underhill who was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2008. Renée had a very aggressive type of breast cancer and died on 21 April 2012. Renée is survived by her husband Shane and her 2 beautiful Children Jack 8 and Mia 6.
Renée was well known to the Beautiful You Charity, initially as a young woman benefiting from the care, support, friendship and understanding that was afforded to her and her family from other women with cancer and the Beautiful You Charity team. Renée then became an ambassador for the Beautiful You Charity by supporting other woman with cancer and relentlessly fundraising to help Deb and her team achieve their dream of setting up a retreat to provide support for women with cancer and their families.
Jenelle’s role as Chairperson on the Executive Committee is to ensure Renée’s legacy and dreams continue.

Gayle Cameron
Gayle has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast for over 8 years. For the past 7 years she has been the local branch manager at Caloundra for Heritage Bank . Prior to moving to the Sunshine Coast she lived in Sydney where she worked for St George Bank in numerous management roles for over 20 years.
She is passionate about her staff and her customers always striving to offer the best customer service. In her role she had been involved over time in a number of local community events.
In 2008 when a very good friend of Gayle’s announced she had breast cancer and she had a front row seat to what breast cancer sufferers and their families endure through the battle with this disease. This spurred her on to get more involved and the opportunity arose when her employer became a sponsor of the ‘Pink Triathlon’ on the Sunshine Coast. This was to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research.
In concert with this event the ‘Jazz & Shiraz’ cocktail function was developed as the launch of the triathlon event. While some funds went to National breast cancer the majority of the profits of the day would go to a local charity involved in assisting breast cancer suffers and their families.
Gayle has been passionate about raising funds to assist local charities. It was during this time she became involved with ‘Beautiful You’. Early in 2012 she accepted a position as a committee member of this charity and is committed to further the goals of ‘Helping women and their families living with cancer’, through the Beautiful You charity.
